About Jade
What is Type A jade?
Type A jade refers to natural, untreated jadeite jade that has undergone only traditional processing (no bleaching, waxing, or polymer impregnation). It’s the highest quality grade available and retains the stone’s natural beauty and value. All CT Jewel pieces are Type A jade.
How can I tell if jade is real?
While some quick tests exist (checking weight, temperature, or surface smoothness), the only way to be certain is through professional examination by a certified gemologist. Every high-value piece from CT Jewel comes with an authenticity certificate for your peace of mind.
What’s the difference between jadeite and nephrite?
Both are called “jade,” but they’re distinct minerals. Jadeite (the jade we carry) is denser, more translucent, and comes primarily from Myanmar. It’s the more precious variety. Nephrite is more common, typically found in Canada, Russia, and New Zealand, and has a more waxy appearance.
Does jade bring good luck?
Across Asian cultures, jade has long been associated with good fortune, protection, and positive energy. While we don’t make scientific claims, many wearers believe jade brings a sense of balance and well-being. At minimum, it makes a beautiful reminder of what matters to you.
About Our Products
Where does your jade come from?
Our jade is sourced from Myanmar (Burma), which produces the world’s finest jadeite. The finest specimens, known as “imperial jade,” display a rich, vivid green that is rare and highly prized.
Do you provide authenticity certificates?
Yes. All high-value pieces from CT Jewel come with an authenticity certificate from a recognized gemological laboratory. This documents the jade’s natural origin, treatment status, and quality grade. Visit our Jade Authenticity Guarantee to learn more.
How do I choose the right jade for me?
Trust your instinct — you’ll often feel drawn to a particular piece before you can articulate why. Consider: color (from subtle whites to vivid greens), translucency (how much light passes through), and intention (daily wear vs. special occasions vs. investment). We’re always happy to guide you.
How do I know my ring or bangle size?
For rings, we recommend using a ring sizer or comparing to an existing well-fitting ring. For bangles, measure the circumference of your hand at its widest point (knuckles) and compare to our size chart. Need help? Email us at carolinesy0620@gmail.com.

Care & Maintenance
How do I care for my jade jewelry?
Jade is durable but deserves thoughtful care:
- Avoid exposure to harsh chemicals (perfume, cleaning products, chlorine)
- Remove before high-impact activities
- Clean gently with a soft, damp cloth
- Store in its provided pouch or box when not wearing
- Wear it regularly — natural body oils actually help maintain jade’s luster
Can I wear jade every day?
Absolutely. Jade is a durable stone suitable for daily wear. Just use common sense: avoid activities where it might receive hard impacts, and remove before swimming in chlorinated pools or hot tubs.
